Fragment for macOS Privacy Policy
Data Collection and Storage
Core functionality of Fragment Image Viewer requires collecting image file data from the images visited by the user.
This data includes, file metadata (e.g. file creation and location) and image metadata (e.g. width and height, but also EXIF and other metadata, including image thumbnail).
Internet access
“Tell your friends about Fragment” and “Share to…” functionality require Internet access and might be subject of additional, third party privacy policies (e.g. Facebook).
Visiting the remote locations is not tracked, but some browser-activity data might be stored in the form of cookies, they are stored in ‘cookies.ini’ in the same directory as image-collected data.

This data includes, file metadata (e.g. file creation and location) and image metadata (e.g. width and height, but also EXIF and other metadata, including image thumbnail).
- None of this data is shared with anyone and is stored entirely locally, on user's computer.
- The information is not analysed in any way.
- Pixel data is not analysed and pixel data is not stored beyond the needs of thumbnail functionality, including no copy of the viewed images.
- Confirmation to collect data is given by opening a folder or image for viewing or by choosing “Preview Folder” in the build-in application browser. By default, if no file or folder is viewed, no data is collected.
- All data is stored in /Users/USER/Library/Containers/com.mnaydenov.Fragment/Data/Library/Application Support/mnaydenov/Fragment/FragFiles.db and ‘thumbs’ in the same directory. Deleting these two entries removes all image-collected data.
